Happy Haunting Card by Pam Bray

Wow can you believe Halloween is in a  few days!!!! ...Today I am sharing with you my Happy Haunting Card using the Halloween Collection Stamp Set from SinCity Stamps. It is a super easy card to make...
so get yourself a blank white card base and stamp the "Happy Haunting" to the center bottom of card. Stamp the spider web randomly around the front of the card and inside edges with black ink and set to one side. Now the fun part...die cut out a frame that will fit the pumpkin stamp, stamp it with black ink and then stamp a second on white cardstock, color both pumpkin images our using your favorite markers (I used Copic Markers), fussy cut the one that is on the cardstock out to layer onto the framed stamped one. place both on a second frame that has been cut out of black, wrap in twine or ribbon and add to the front of your card base that you set to one side.
Here is a closer look at the card at an angle so you can see all the dimension that it has but yet so simple to make. I hope you checkout my SinCity Stamps, Chipboard, Stencils, Mask, etc as well as the rest of the store and try making some easy and simple cards. Pammejo

Tags Tags Tags with Sin City Stamps

Hello! Peggy here to show you my tags made with some fabulous stamps! As soon as they arrived I had to play!
Supplies used today:

I started with some shipping tags 4 3/4 x 2 3/8 and sprayed yellow, red and orange with Lindy's. Next I layered some texture on top with background stamps from Terri Sproul's Art journal 2 set. As I put the color box  ink down with my flourish stamp I quickly poured clear embossing powder on top and heat set with a heat tool.
Next I stamped my sentiment and edged my tag with white acrylic paint.
Below I made my second tag with Lindy's Sprays  the same as the first but I added green at the bottom. I layered another background stamp from Sin City Stamps Pam Bray's Fall Collection. When stamping this background I used my stamp unmounted. I stamped many times to give the illusion of distance.
I used two sentiments  one from the Fall Collection and one from the Journal collection.
Below I made an Autumn tag mixing both collections of stamps. Terri Sprouls fabulous background stamp of bricks in disress ink peeled paint. Pam Bray's leaf and autumn were used also using distress ink. The leaf was colored with red and black Gelatos. Using my disttress inks I shaded the whole tag. I used white acrylic  paint on the edges.

Here are the stamp sets used:
Art Journaling with Terri Sproul 2

Pam Bray's Fall Collection
Here is the progression of layering a background using one stamp. Rocking portions of the stamp unmounted. Some layers darker than others using one distress ink. Next I colored the flower and leaf with gelatos.

I edged the tag again with white acrylic  paint.

I added some hand dyed ribbon to match.

I hope you get a chance to pick up these great stamp sets, I can't wait to play with them again!

Shabby Chic Canvas

Hello and welcome! It's Graciellie posting today. This month Sin City Stamps has partnered with Gelli Arts! What a great combination of products! I've had a great time creating personalized backgrounds with Gelli Arts' Gel Plate, and adding details with SCS stamps. It's almost therapeutic the way the projects come together, and how we have no precise control of the resulting background using the Gel Plate (a truly spontaneous artistic process).

Today I want to show you a 6"x 6"
pink, gold, and silver canvas I made.

Main Supplies
Sin City Stamps:
Butterfly Mask
Chicken Wire with Butterflies Mask
Love of Butterflies Plate of Rubber
Gelli Arts 5"x 7" Gel Plate
Cotton Wood Arts 6"x 6" canvas (to be released)
Other
Crackle Embossing Paste
Palette knife
Brush
Baby wipes
Paints: Poster paint in pink and metallic acrylic paints in gold and silver
Embellishments: 2" lace, 3/8" gross grain ribbon, gold vintage buttons, Fused string pearl beads, pearls, crystals
Adhesives: Uhu all purpose adhesive, Bazic two sided tape

I layered many butterflies that I stamped, heat embossed in gold and fuzzy cut to create a 3D effect. The background was created with Gelli Arts Gel Plate. I also stenciled the canvas with crackle embossing paste, which added to the shabby chic design.

I prepared a step by step tutorial for you. Start the guide below to check it out!

I hope you like my project and tutorial! For more about the products used, click on the links added to the supply list. If you have any questions feel free to leave me a comment here or at my blog.

Bird Cage Mini Album

October is not all about Halloween.

Today I am going to show you a Bird Cage Mini Album.
I have been wanting to play with these die cuts since I got them..
so today is the day.

Products used:

Sin City Stamps :
in gorgeous bling paper!
Stamps - The Simple Things CTMH
Charms, Pearls
Seam Binding

First I inked the inside pages and the die cuts
(hearts and flowers and flourishes)
Then I added some pearls and gold pen dots here and there.

I then put the album together with seam binding.
I added the charms with some seam binding.
I also added a bow and more pearls.

As you can see this album with be about my Mom.
Every year at this time I think about her more than usual.
I miss her every day.
The charms I added are special just for my Mom.
The dragonfly, a key to my heart and a butterfly.

The layer on the front of the album is glued down only
at the top and bottom so I can add a picture.

The flourishes on the inside pages are also only
glued down on the sides so photos can be added
to them.

I am not sure if you can see the paper this birdcage is
made of but its so shiny it is perfect for the birdcage.

The back page is the same as the front.
I can add photos under the top layer.

Check out all the wonderful die cuts.

Thanks for stopping by..

Sin City Stamps and Gelli Plates Backgrounds

Hello everyone, and welcome back for more Halloween fun!  I just love October because I love making anything related to Halloween.  I've always been a fan of spooky movies, and this genre is just my thing!

Today's project is a very colorful and a bit creepy card that I made using my Gelli Arts printing plate for a background, and a few of my favorite Sin City Stamps rubber sets.
While playing around with my gelli plate, I also made this same or similar background on a different color card stock to see what the difference would be.  Then I couldn't help myself.  I had to turn it into a  tag, or a card to slip into a pocket, or even used as a focal point on a card.

I have prepared a bit of a tutorial for you using Snapguide.  All you have to do is click START THE GUIDE for complete instructions.

Check out How to Use a Gelli Printing Plate for Card Making by Barbara Rankin on Snapguide.

USING YOUR GELLI PLATE AS A STAMP!!

How would you like to use your Gelli Plate like a stamp?  It is such a fun way to Gelli!!

This month, the design team was given a 3"x5" Gelli Plate to use.  What a fun size to play with!  You can put it on an acrylic block and stamp with them!  Stamping color blocks that are 3"x5" is cool, but what if you added punchinella or a stencil on top?  AWESOME HAPPENS!!

I made 2 cards with my Gelli Plate and my Halloween Bingo Stamp Set.

Are they fun or what!!
Check out my Snapguide tutorial to see how!!

Sin City Stamps and Gelli Plate Printing

Hello fellow crafters, Peggy here to share my Gelli Printing fun.
This month we are partnering with Gelli Arts and I must tell you it is Very addicting!
Supplies used today are:
Acrylic Paint
Brayer
Vellum Paper
Cardstock
Punch for trim
Enamel Accents
Embellishments

I started out with a clean gelli plate and I randomly placed acrylic  paint sparingly. Using my brayer I spread the paint evenly.

This picture below shows using only white paint.
After laying down color I placed my stencil on top of the paint and added a second layer of paint. Since the first layer on my gelli plate was wet and sticky the stencil stayed in place. I used my brayer to spread secondary colors on top.

Here is my gelli plate ready for printing.

I placed a sheet of vellum on top of my gelli plate
And gravity pulled my sheet toward my gelli plate. Because the vellum is semi transparent you can see which spots needed a gental touch to adhere to the vellum paper.

As you can see this process is very addicting.

Here is one of my favorite  prints cut out and ready for mounting. I desided to make a few cards.
Below I used a flower cut out from Sin City Stamps to place over my print.

Here is my finished product. I layered yellow cardstock on black cardstock. Next I used a MS punch on black cardstock for the bottom. I also used ribbon and lace embellishments and finished it off with enamel accents.
Below is a print with the background paint made into a card using the same process.

So much fun! I had a great time making prints. Next time I think I'll include the kids!
I hope you have enjoyed my tutorial and check out Sin City Stamps for your stamping, chipboard , stencil needs and more!
I would also like to thank Gelli Arts for their fabulous  Gelli plate!

Warmly,

Strip My Gears

Hi! Laura here posting a masculine Halloween card
or maybe just a I love you card for your guy!
I have used a Gelli Plate for my card.
Gelli Arts are our sponsor this month at Sin City Stamps.
I have to tell you it has been an experience using the Gelli Plate.
One I am not quite comfortable with yet
but I do love playing with it.
You have to try it! It's fun (but messy) ..Did I say it was fun?
I have played for 3 or 4 days but wasn't happy with anything I made
but did this today. I hope you like it...

Products I used today

Brayer, Acrylic Paint - orange and metallic purple
Black Ink, ribbon and lots of copy paper.
TH craft mat.

One of the videos I watched said the gelli plate has to
be on a porous surface. I left  it on the bottom piece of plastic.
I also put it on my TH craft sheet.

I put paint on the gelli plate then added the mask.

I added the next colour and use some different masks.

Here is the gelli plate with purple acrylic paint on it.

Add your tag...then I put copy paper over
just to press the tag down.

The purple paint was metallic ..
You can see how it smeared abit but
I love how it looks.

On the right is the gelli plate with paint on it
and I pressed the stamp on it.
Isn't it cool how the gelli plate holds the stamp..

This is the next layer on the tag.

On this one I used my fingernail to make this pattern.

The next one is done with more masks layered over the purple.

I made the tags into a card. I thought about adding this
ribbon to make it more for Halloween but
I liked the other ribbon better.

As you can see below I stamped strip my gears on
the middle tag.

Here is my finished card...
